Here are pictures of the things that we measured, from 1 -8.

Our class assignment was a measurement project. To begin the assignment was to go to our assigned location in the school, and take pictures of objects that we would like to measure. Our assigned spot was the front hall. We went to the front hall with a camera, and took the pictures above. The objects that we measured are: Lenth of Front Hall, Length of the Bench in front of Tigers Den, Length of a Floor tile, Radius of a recylcing bin hole, Height of Tigers Den Window, Height of a Gym Door, Length of the trophy case glass, and the Student Services cubby.
Our spreadsheet included all our information on all of our objects, and our referents. In this project there were many terms but, the most important term was REFERENT. A referent is a type of measurement that helps you visualize how long an object is. For example I am 5'5'' a couple of referents for my height would be 35 new pencil, or another referent would be 5.5 binders. By the time we were finished the project everybody knew what a referent was, and we learned that it was probably important not to let our teacher edit our blog posts....
